The Polemic Mayorga and Oscar de la Hoya, What a Fight!

The MGC Grand in Las Vegas saw the defeat over the Nicaraguan “Matador” Mayorga, he is considered a shame in his native country Nicaragua due to his rude behavior even when he is out of the ring.

Boxer Mayorga ended the night apologizing to Oscar de la Hoya after loosing his world champion title of the Super Welters.

Oscar de la Hoya was back after being out for 20 months, he was quite motivated and took the fight personal, as Mayorga had insulted him and his family on several times which made de la Hoya take revenge as a professional and as a champion overtaking Mayorga and making him look as a looser in all the senses.

De la Hoya, defeated Mayorga after a minute and a half of the sixth round. He took home $8 million just for shut his opponent’s mouth up.

Mayorga’s last words were: “You are a great fighter and I apologize for everything I said to you” and Oscar accepted the apologies with professionalism. This is really good for de la Hoya, he acted like a real champion, showing he deserves this title and much more.
